Tweet Your Song!

Have you ever listened to a song and had the words stuck in your head all day? Or have you listened to your favorite song and waited until your favorite part came on? Tweet Your Song" was created by three girls who were at the Twitter Girls Who Code headquarters who wanted to solve just that. The goal was to utilize a pre-existing social media network and add this new feature onto it- unfortunately, none of us worked at Twitter quite yet. Instead, we had to figure out how they actually made their entire homepage work, button by button, and then how to add our very own feature! There were many struggles in recreating what all the real employees were working on improving every single day, who worked in the cubicles next to us, but we actually found a greater appreciation for their work.  We used a mixture of HTML, Javascript, CSS, and jQuery mobile to design our final feature.

"What I most enjoyed was the process in discovering how complicated and well designed a website like Twitter really is. It was truly inspiring to be surrounded by the people who work for such a large company and design it themselves. "
