SafeMe

SafeMe is an app we created using Android Studio SDK. The intent of the app is to save lives.  It allows you to preset up to five contacts which can discretely receive a message set off by an alert trigger in case of emergency. These contacts will be sent a text including your current GPS location in the case of an emergency. SafeMe allows you to set a timer with your expected arrival time, if you have not turned off the SafeMe timer, it will send your alert text. SafeMe also allows someone to trigger the alert while having their phone out of sight by pushing the volume down button three times.

"We enjoyed working on a project that has the potential to save lives. It was fun learning java, which wasn't taught by Girls Who Code."
