In order to combat the obesity problem in the United States, we developed a web game that simulates a person's ideal everyday eating and exercise routine. The player, who controls the game's protagonist Brock O. Lee, uses the cursor to catch food from the sky and exercise. As the player progresses through more levels, the nutritional and exercise requirements grow more rigorous, and he/she must begin to monitor specific dietary needs such as sodium intake.
"It was fun designing the game, the character, the storyline...just the entire process of creating a game that we know will help people in the future!
The objective of Lettuce Eat! is to correct the widespread assumption that exercising can balance an unhealthy diet, as well as raise awareness of how to properly take care of one's dietary needs in a fun and interactive manner.
