Obesity is a growing problem in today’s society. Fast food makes up about 11% of the average American diets and 68.5% of Americans are overweight. These problems stem from the fact that many people don’t have the money, time or access to healthier options.
"Breaking Bread helps you easily find healthy food on a budget. "
Our mission is to help Americans at risk make informed, healthy choices by providing an app tailored to the needs of people who are restricted to fast food due to time and budget constraints. We created a comprehensive guide for healthy eating that maintains those speed and price restrictions.
In Breaking Bread, when you click on the logo of a fast food chain it takes you to a page that shows the healthy and unhealthy options at that chain. We also have a map that shows healthy restaurants in New York and we have a page that provides links to healthy meals.
