Arctic Rescue

We created a website in order to raise awareness of global warming and the threat it poses to polar bears. Our website includes a fun and interactive game, in which the user plays as a baby polar bear who has drifted away from its mother. The user uses the arrow keys to move the bear from iceberg to iceberg; this is made challenging by the fact that the icebergs move at different speeds and in different directions. They are also at varying distances from one another. In addition to the game, our website includes links to more information about global warming and to the World Wildlife Fund, where users can donate to support the cause of polar bears.

"We enjoyed combining HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in order to create a fully functional game that is not only fun, but is also dedicated to a cause we care about. "
